Like most nonprofits, we operate on a very lean budget, and social media and website are not anyone’s full-time job. Hilary Meyerson and Little Candle Media provided us with some fantastic recommendations we are implementing immediately and others to be employed in the near future. And with her big-picture understanding, she was able to tie social strategy to development goals in a way we had not considered.
Hilary did a fantastic job at running the social media to promote our Wearable Technology UX Conference in Seattle. She helped drive registrations, identify and engage influencers in our target audience, and “live tweeted” the actual event so people could follow along virtually. She grew our audience and connected us with players in the wearable tech and UX space. She also wrote a fantastic article about the event, and worked to place it in Seattle Business Magazine. Without her knowledge and expertise, I firmly believe that our event would not have been as successful as it was in the social media space. There is no question that we will use her again for future conferences.
My company hired Hilary to help us with our latest crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, and she was so helpful that we kept on with her services after the campaign! She is not only highly knowledgeable about social media, building traffic and advertising, she developed a strategy for engaging and relevant content and then executed it. With a strong writing background, she wrote speedy but intelligent, articulate and entertaining blog posts during the campaign and beyond (we are currently collaborating on a series of articles). Our Indiegogo campaign, with her help reached our goal in 2 days, doubled it in 3 days and tripled it in one week. Most importantly, we value Hilary as a member of our team because of her willingness to go above and beyond her role as our social media consultant. It is obvious that she wants our company to be a great success and has been proactive in coming up with clever ideas for branding and marketing and for taking the lead in our website reconstruction. On top of all her talents, he’s also a lot of fun to spend time with and has become an indispensable member of our core team.
In one word: Great. That’s how I describe working with Hilary. She is a consummate professional. She’s smart, fast, reliable, responsive, flexible, and creative. She listens carefully to our company’s needs and creates thoughtful and intelligent solutions on time and within budget. With her experience and knowledge of social media marketing and how it relates to PR, Hilary has provided excellent advice and services: writing blog posts, connecting with editors, conducting targeted social media campaigns, creating a strategic media plan, to name a few. Hilary is a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend her.
